Crown Prince Frederik performed the official opening of the Carlsberg brewery in Thailand during his first visit here in 1992 by planting a tree outside the brewery.
In 1997, Crown Prince Frederik visited Thailand again, this time among others performing the official opening of the new factory of DZ Thailand.
In 2005, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary together visited some of the tsunami affected areas in the south of Thailand.
| Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark will lead a Danish business delegation to Thailand in the period 24.-26. November 2008, the Royal Danish Embassy In Bangkok informs. The occasion is the celebration of the 150 years anniversary for the establishment of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Thailand. The Royal couple will be accompanied by Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Per Stig Møller. The Danish Embassy in Bangkok is cooperating with the Trade Council of Denmark, Danish Industries and Export Promotion Denmark in organising a programme that will ensure an optimal promotion of Denmark and Danish business in Thailand. The promotion will be innovative and visible and an opportunity for Danish business to network with important Thai parties. A special focus will be on energy and environment plus Danish lifestyle products and - according to the Danish Thai Chamber of Commerce - also promote the creativeness of Denmark. But according to the interest of Danish companies, it is possible also to make special arrangements regarding for example the food and the medico sectors. The Counsellor adds, that a pre-registration is not binding, as the final program and the price for participation is yet to be determined.
