Fundamental Right of all Swedish Citizens

The out-going Ambassador of Sweden, Mr Rolf Bergman recently cast his vote at the Embassy in Hanoi to fulfil his right to vote in the General Elections in Sweden. He said after his voting: “The right to vote is an important fundamental right of all Swedish citizens who have reached the age of 18. Today, I voted for the party who will represent me at the Parliament, the Municipal Council and the County Council.” Read full story.

New Partnership About Lifting

A new partnership between Danish Sax Lift A/S and Vietnamese TN Technic Co. Ltd has begun a pilot project in scissor lifts and balers production with the support from the B2B programme of the Danish Embassy. Read full story.

New Model of Contract Farming

With a plan to reach high-value export markets for fresh vegetables, Mr. Le Van Cuong, Director of Dalat Gap Ltd. in Lam Dong province approached Danida for support under the Business Sector Programme Support (BSPS) to introduce contract farming. Contract farming is a new mode of cooperation wherein the small farmers are provided with training, technical assistance and certification support in return for supply of vegetables that meet the strict requirements of the export markets in Japan and Taiwan at an agreed upon uniform price. Read full story.

Radio Series on HIV Ends Voice of Vietnam (VOV) radio drama series funded by Denmark and supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNPF) aired the last of 104 episodes in July 2010. The purpose of the series was to raise awareness of sexual and reproductive health issues and encourage change in behaviour and attitude towards HIV and gender equality. Read full story.
